MICA (institute)

MICA , formerly Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad , is a management institution for Strategic Marketing and Communication skills in India. Established in 1991, it is located on the outskirts of the western Indian city of Ahmedabad . [2]

History

MICA was established in 1991 by AG Krishnamurthy of Mudra Communications, as an autonomous post graduate academic institute. [3] It has been set up in the field of education and training in the field of education and training. The main academic block was inaugurated in 1993 and MICA relocated to its current campus at Shela. Director Dr. Binod C Agrawal began his tenure. The first flagship batch of PGPD program in Communications was inaugurated by the then Governor of Gujarat, Sh. Sarup Singh in 1994. [4] Atul Tandon served as director from 2001 to 2009.

Over the course of the next 20 years, the CCC, Online PG Certificate and FPM programs were introduced. [5]

The last President, Mr. Madhukar Kamath, Group CEO and MD of the DDB Mudra Group, stepped down from his post in January when? ] , in anticipation of a new direction of leadership for MICA. Interim Director Tridip Suhrud, who is a member of the MICA’s Governing Council and the Director and Chief Editor of Sabarmati Ashram Preservation and Memorial Trust is currently holding office. MICA recently appointed a new director, Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta , an esteemed Indian Economist. quote needed ]

Courses offered

MICA flagship is the Postgraduate Diploma in Management in Communications (PGDM-C). It also offers a one-year Crafting Creative Communications (CCC) program and a doctoral level Fellow Program in Management-Communications (FPM-C). It also offers various online post graduate certificate programs. [6]
